Audiolec's Infra Red Remote Control Tester, IR-401 helps check correct functionality of Infra Red Remote handsets. Thus it is not necessary to have target devices e.g. TV , DVD player or AC to test their handsets. With any user specified transmission formats included , IR-401 is suitable for infra red hand sets of practically all target devices e.g. TVs, VCRs, DVD Players, ACs, Home Theatres, Computers, Hope appliances. IR-401 displays both key codes and key descriptions. Display of key descriptions makes it far easier to understand which key has been pressed.

Key descriptions are user programmable. An Edit mode enables user to enter key descriptions, using standard computer key board, against key codes.

A beep and flashing LED alert user to reception of valid key code. User then can look up key code and key description on display. Absence of beep and flashing LED then indicates invalid key code or no reception or no IR transmission.
